UCI and Warner Bros. Discovery to end Enduro World Cup after 2026
The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) have announced that the 2026 season will be the final year for the UCI Enduro World Cup in its current structure. Following the conclusion of the 2026 season, the regular racing series will be discontinued, shifting the focus of the discipline toward the UCI Enduro and E-Enduro World Championships as the primary international events.
The decision stems from a desire to create a structure more tailored to the unique identity and community of enduro racing, emphasizing flexibility and innovation. The transition follows a period of challenges within the cycling industry and complexities in media production. While the World Cup format is ending, the World Championships will remain the pinnacle of the sport, with the 2026 edition scheduled for Finale Ligure, Italy, and the 2027 championships set to take place in Haute-Savoie, France.
Separately, the mountain bike World Cup returns to Les Gets, France, this weekend for the XCO and Downhill disciplines. This event marks the end of the summer break and serves as a critical test for riders ahead of the upcoming World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy.
