UCLA and San Diego State to meet at the Rose Bowl
The San Diego State Aztecs are set to face the UCLA Bruins at the Rose Bowl this Saturday. While the matchup was once envisioned as a Pac-12 Conference showdown, conference realignment has shifted the landscape; UCLA is now in its third season in the Big Ten, while San Diego State joined the Pac-12 on July 1.
Both teams enter the game with 1-0 records. UCLA secured a 45-24 victory over California in the first game under new head coach Bob Chesney. San Diego State defeated Portland State 53-20. Historically, the series has been dominated by UCLA, who holds a 22-1-1 edge dating back to 1922. San Diego State's most recent victory at the Rose Bowl occurred in 2019.
UCLA will host the game at 4:15 p.m. PT. The matchup will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
