UCLA astronomy club organizes Milky Way stargazing event

The UCLA astronomy club is organizing a ‘Star Party’ to allow students to observe the Milky Way away from urban light pollution. Approximately 60 participants will travel to Mount Pinos in November for the overnight event.

To facilitate the trip, organizers are coordinating carpools and the transport of telescopes. The club also hosts weekly telescope demonstrations to provide astronomical access to beginners without prior experience.
