UCLA defeats Oregon 1-0 in women's soccer via late penalty

The University of Oregon women’s soccer team suffered a 1-0 defeat against No. 10 UCLA following an 89th-minute penalty kick. The decisive goal was scored by UCLA’s Kara Croone after a video review awarded the penalty late in the match.

Despite the loss, Oregon goalkeeper Gray Willson recorded eight saves, including several crucial stops in the second half. The Ducks' defense held UCLA to limited opportunities for much of the game, with coach Tracy Joyner stating the team played “the best we've played all season.”

Oregon (6-4-2, 1-4-1 Big Ten) had significant scoring chances through Savannah Holleyin and Lauren Hunter, but was unable to convert. The result marks the third consecutive loss for the Ducks.
