UCLA women's soccer hosts Indiana and Illinois this week

No. 10 UCLA women's soccer returns to Wallis Annenberg Stadium this week for two Big Ten conference matches. The Bruins, currently on a four-match winning streak, will host Indiana on Thursday, Oct. 8, followed by a match against Illinois on Sunday, Oct. 11.

UCLA enters the homestand with a strong defensive record, maintaining a four-match shutout streak of 443 consecutive minutes. Sophomore goalkeeper Daphne Nakfoor recently earned Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week honors. The team's roster is currently affected by international duties, as freshman midfielder Mia Corona has departed to compete in the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

Indiana arrives with a 4-7-1 record, while Illinois holds a 4-3-5 record. The matchup against Indiana marks the first time the two programs have met on the UCLA campus. The Sunday match against Illinois will serve as an alumni and pride match.
