UCLM to host rural youth entrepreneurship course in Mota del Cuervo

The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) will host a summer course titled ‘¿Qué estás trajinando? Emprendimiento de jóvenes en nuestros pueblos’ in Mota del Cuervo on September 24 and 25, 2026.

Co-directed by Dr. Yolanda Salinero Martín and Víctor García Fachal of Fundación Nexo, the program aims to address demographic challenges by fostering youth entrepreneurship in rural areas. The event will bring together university professors, social entities, and local youth to discuss social economy, population retention, and business models for interior municipalities.

Activities include collaborative workshops, roundtables, and PechaKucha presentations featuring local initiatives such as livestock, traditional bakeries, and youth projects. The seminar also features demonstrations of traditional crafts and discussions on innovation led by rural women.
