uCloudlink Group Inc. announces share repurchase and Q2 2026 results

uCloudlink Group Inc. has announced a share repurchase program authorized by its board of directors. The company may repurchase up to US$2,000,000 of its Class A ordinary shares through December 31, 2027. The program is intended to fund the company’s employee stock ownership plan equity incentive pool or for share cancellation, using existing cash balances.

In its unaudited second quarter 2026 financial results, uCloudlink reported total revenues of US$18.2 million, a 5.9% decrease from US$19.4 million in the same period in 2025. The company reported a net loss of US$3.0 million, compared to a net income of US$0.7 million in the second quarter of 2025.

Specific business line performance included a 78% increase in the GlocalMe SIM business and a 392.4% increase in the GlocalMe IoT business. However, the GlocalMeMeowGo business saw a 13.1% revenue decrease. Total data consumed through the company’s platform reached 46,641 terabytes during the quarter.
