UD Almería prepares for LALIGA HYPERMOTION season debut

UD Almería is intensifying its preparations for the upcoming LALIGA HYPERMOTION season. The club recently held a traditional floral offering to the Virgin del Mar, the city's patron saint, which brought together players, staff, and supporters to foster unity ahead of the new campaign.

In terms of technical preparation, the squad is focusing on upcoming league matches, starting with a home game against CD Eldense. Head coach Xavier García Pimienta has emphasized the need for concentration and a game-by-game approach as the team works through its final training sessions.

Additionally, the club has integrated educational sessions regarding new refereeing regulations. Local referee José Antonio Sánchez Villalobos briefed the players and coaching staff on updated rules designed to speed up gameplay. Key changes include stricter time limits for goalkeepers holding the ball, faster player substitutions, and expanded VAR protocols to minimize match interruptions.
