Udaipur luxury hotel reports Rs 5.74 lakh unpaid bill by Delhi family
A Delhi-based family is under investigation after allegedly leaving The Oberoi Udaivilas, a luxury hotel in Udaipur, without paying a bill totaling Rs 5.74 lakh.
Anurag Yadav, who traveled with his wife and two children, stayed at the property from August 14 to August 23. During checkout, Yadav reportedly refused to settle the bill, claiming that Maker Baha Travel Agency, which had booked the room on August 12, would be responsible for the payment. However, the hotel management stated that no such prior arrangement or special payment terms existed with the agency.
The travel agency has denied any agreement to cover the guest's expenses. Following the incident, the hotel filed a formal complaint, leading the Ambamata police station to register an FIR. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the unpaid bill and the potential involvement of the travel agency.
