Uddhav Thackeray initiates 2029 Lok Sabha election preparations in Maharashtra

Uddhav Thackeray, leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), has initiated organizational preparations for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. The party has appointed contact heads and in-charges for 40 of Maharashtra’s 48 Lok Sabha seats to strengthen its grassroots machinery.

The appointments include various MLAs, former corporators, and senior party officials. Key assignments include Varun Sardesai for the Kalyan and Bhiwandi regions, Sunil Shinde for Shirdi-Ahmednagar, Ashish Chamburkar for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Sachin Padwal for the Pune district. Other notable appointments cover regions such as Solapur, Nashik, Buldhana, and Akola.

Currently, the party has not yet announced responsibilities for the six Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai, as well as the Thane and Jalgaon constituencies, though these are expected to be addressed at a later date.
