Udesc report shows bull auction prices reaching R$ 19.5 thousand
A study by the Genetic Improvement Group (GMG) of the State University of Santa Catarina (Udesc) shows that average prices for bulls sold at livestock auctions range from R$ 16,100 to R$ 19,500.
The survey monitored 40 auctions across seven bovine breeds: Angus, Braford, Charolais, Brangus, Nelore, Hereford, and Devon. Angus bulls recorded the highest average price at R$ 19,536.47, while Braford followed closely with an average of R$ 19,119.39.
Other breeds, including Charolais and Brangus, maintained averages above R$ 18,500. The monitoring initiative, supported by the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of Santa Catarina (Faesc), aims to track price behavior and fluctuations throughout the auction season.
