Udhayanidhi Stalin condemns alleged house arrest of Tamil Nadu medical workers

Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, has condemned the state government for the alleged house arrest of multi-purpose medical workers. The workers were reportedly attempting to travel to Chennai to protest for demands including job regularisation.

Stalin accused the administration of suppressing democratic rights and disregarding previous promises made to the workers. He characterized the government’s actions as “anarchy,” alleging that individuals are being detained at their homes to prevent them from participating in protests. He urged the government to release the workers and engage in direct dialogue to address their legitimate concerns.
