Udhayanidhi Stalin criticizes law and order while facing internal DMK leadership pressure
Tamil Nadu Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin has criticized the state government over a recent surge in violence, citing nine murders reported across the state within a two-day period. He specifically highlighted killings in Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvannamalai, Salem, Kanniyakumari, and Theni-Gudalur, urging Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay to take decisive action to restore law and order.
Separately, internal friction has emerged within the DMK party. Supporters of Udhayanidhi Stalin are reportedly dissatisfied with the performance of the DMK IT Wing, headed by TRB Rajaa. Insiders claim the wing has failed to effectively promote Udhayanidhi’s political stances on social media, particularly regarding his opposition to the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Discussions are reportedly underway regarding the potential replacement of both the IT Wing head and the DMK student wing secretary, Veeramani.
