Udine authorities fine local bar following student party inspection

Carabinieri and NAS officers conducted a specialized inspection at the Ego Lounge Bar in Udine during a traditional Wednesday student event. The operation, which took place between the late evening of September 2 and the early hours of September 3, was prompted by reports alleging the sale of alcohol to minors.

Authorities identified over 60 individuals and inspected more than 40 vehicles in the vicinity. While investigations found no evidence of alcohol being served to minors, officers noted that staff were actively checking identification at the entrance and bar.

However, health inspections conducted by the NAS revealed hygiene deficiencies and irregularities regarding food storage. These findings were reported to the local health authority. The establishment received administrative fines totaling 3,000 euros, though no closure orders were issued.
