Udine: High-profile car thefts target local personalities

Two high-profile car thefts occurred in Udine within a few days, targeting well-known local figures. The victims included Telefriuli presenter Daniele Paroni and Udinese stadium speaker Alessandro “Poma” Pomarè.

In both instances, thieves appeared to use a sophisticated technique without breaking windows or forcing locks. Investigators suspect the use of a signal jammer to interfere with remote controls and prevent vehicles from locking. In the theft involving Pomarè, suspects were captured on camera and completed the robbery in just 21 seconds, stealing bags, documents, and credit cards. Paroni reported finding his trunk partially open with cash and documents missing, also showing no signs of forced entry.
