Udine honors Diego Di Natale in Famedio dei benemeriti
The city of Udine has honored Diego Di Natale by inducting him into the Famedio dei benemeriti at the San Vito monumental cemetery. Di Natale was a prominent figure in the political, economic, and social history of the Friuli region.
As the founder and first president of the Unione Artigiani del Friuli, which he led from 1946 to 1980, Di Natale played a crucial role in the region's development. His contributions included the establishment of the Cassa Mutua Malattia and various credit consortia, as well as presiding over the regional body for craft development. He was also noted for mobilizing the artisan community during the reconstruction efforts following the 1976 earthquake.
