Udinese and Fiorentina target new signings in summer transfer window
Udinese has opened formal talks to acquire two young midfielders. The club is negotiating with Watford for Georgian midfielder Giorgi Chakvetadze (born 1999), praised for his technical ability and vision. A second target is 2003‑born Spanish midfielder Unai Gómez, a product of Athletic Bilbao’s academy, noted for tactical intelligence and athleticism. Both players are seen as long‑term investments to strengthen Udinese’s central spine before the new season.
Fiorentina is also active in the market, focusing on Juventus winger Edon Zhegrova. The Tuscan side prefers a loan with an option to buy, awaiting medical clearance after a history of injuries. If the Zhegrova deal stalls, Fiorentina’s primary target remains Burnley winger Luca Koleosho, for whom the club has submitted a €10 million offer pending a response from the English side.
