Udinese director Gianluca Nani calls for calm after third consecutive defeat
Gianluca Nani, the group technical director of Udinese, has called for calm following the club’s third consecutive league defeat, most recently against Cagliari. Speaking on TV12, Nani urged the club to analyze performances rather than focusing solely on results, stating that the team should not succumb to drama.
Nani expressed frustration with the Cagliari match, suggesting that Udinese dominated play and would have won if not for self-inflicted errors. He noted that while the team is currently in a difficult period, the immediate goal is to reach 40 points to secure safety.
Addressing player fitness, Nani discussed the challenges of managing injuries. He highlighted the difficulty of replacing Keinan Davis, whom he described as one of the best in Europe in his role. He also suggested that Nicolò Zaniolo may have returned from injury too early and noted the ongoing management required for Davis to prevent further issues.
