Nicolò Zaniolo’s Udinese contract talks stall as Milan and Juventus monitor

Udinese and forward Nicolò Zaniolo are in advanced but unsettled renewal talks. A summit between the player's agent, Claudio Vigorelli, and Udinese executives is scheduled, aiming to bridge a salary gap. Udinese has offered a net €1.5 million per season plus bonuses, while Zaniolo is reportedly seeking €1.8 million total or an additional €400‑500 k over the base salary.

The dispute is compounded by Zaniolo’s recent absence from pre‑season training, fueling speculation about a possible fallout. The club has signalled patience, refusing to close the door on the player and indicating a desire to keep him through the 2028‑29 season.

AC Milan met with Vigorelli on 14 July and appear to be ahead of Juventus and Bologna in the pursuit. Juventus is also watching closely and would be ready to act if the contract breaks, estimating Zaniolo’s transfer value at €15‑20 million. All parties remain on the sidelines, waiting for the outcome of the upcoming meeting.
