Udinese finalises Nicolò Zaniolo transfer after exercising Galatasaray option

Udinese exercised the pre‑agreed option to buy Italian midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo from Turkish club Galatasaray before the midnight deadline, converting his loan into a permanent deal. The club announced a contract running to 30 June 2029.

The transfer fee is reported between €5 million and €10 million, with Galatasaray entitled to 50 % of any future sale. Zaniolo had 34 appearances, 6 goals and 6 assists for Udinese in the season.

Despite the completed purchase, negotiations on Zaniolo’s personal terms remain unresolved. Agent Claudio Vigorelli said the player feels “disappointed and bitter” about the rushed deal and that a new agreement on salary is still being discussed.
