Udupi MLA requests swift inauguration of new district hospital

Udupi MLA Yash Pal Suvarna has met with Health Minister U. T. Khader to request the swift inauguration of the new Udupi District Hospital. Construction of the 250-bed facility, which began in December 2021, is currently in its final stages. Suvarna urged the minister to ensure the hospital is fully equipped with necessary medical facilities and staff upon opening.

Additionally, the MLA requested that the Brahmavara Community Health Centre be upgraded to a Taluk Hospital to better serve the more than 30 villages in the area. Other requests included securing funding for the Kusamma Shambhu Shetty Memorial Haji Abdulla Mother and Child Hospital and addressing parking issues at the B. R. Shetty Hi-Tech Super Speciality Hospital site. Minister Khader has assured that necessary actions will be taken regarding these demands.
