UEFA announces referee assignments for Champions League first round

UEFA has announced the officiating crews for several upcoming Champions League first-round matches. Spanish referee Jesús Gil Manzano will lead the match between Fenerbahçe and Roma in Istanbul, supported by fellow Spaniards Diego Barbero and Guadalupe Porras Ayuso, with Juan Martínez Munera serving as the fourth official.

For the match between PSV Eindhoven and Shakhtar Donetsk, UEFA appointed Turkish assistant referees Ibrahim Caglar Uyarkan and Abdula Ozkara, with Cihan Aydin as the fourth official. The VAR team for this fixture will include officials from Germany and Switzerland.

Other appointments include Slovenian Rade Obrenovič for the Bayern Munich vs Bodø/Glimt match, and Frenchman Willy Delajod for the Manchester United vs Sabah fixture at Old Trafford. Additionally, a Greek officiating crew led by Vasilis Fotias will handle the Slavia Prague vs Lens match, while Serdar Gozubuyuk from the Netherlands will referee the Como vs Leipzig game.
