UEFA bans Trabzonspor away fans for CSKA Sofia match
UEFA has imposed a ban on away supporters for Trabzonspor during their upcoming match against CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria. The sanctions follow misconduct during the Turkish club's recent Conference League fixture against KuPS in Finland, where fans used pyrotechnics and threw objects.
In addition to the ticket ban, Trabzonspor faces a fine of 80,000 euros. The club was also issued further penalties, including 15,000 euros for pitch invasions and 5,000 euros for property damage. The club must coordinate with KuPS within 30 days to settle damages involving broken seats and pitch repairs caused by pyrotechnics.
The match is scheduled for November 26 at the reconstructed Bulgarian Army Stadium. Trabzonspor, which features former Liverpool player Mohamed Salah, will also be without its president, Ertuğrul Doğan, who has received a 45-day ban from football activities due to betting-related issues.
