UEFA Champions League 2026/27 play-off matchups announced

The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League season is progressing through its qualifying stages. Following the third preliminary round, the official play-off matchups have been determined. The winners of these play-off ties will secure direct entry into the league phase.

The play-off first-leg matches are scheduled for August 18 and 19, with the second-leg matches to follow on August 25 and 26. The competition's new format features a 36-team league phase, where each club plays eight different opponents. The league phase is set to begin on September 8, 2026, and will conclude in late January 2027 before moving into the knockout rounds. The tournament final is scheduled for June 5, 2027, at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.
