UEFA considers Michele Kang and Lise Klaveness for FIFA presidency

UEFA is reportedly considering two candidates to challenge current FIFA President Gianni Infantino in the upcoming elections: Michele Kang and Lise Klaveness.

Michele Kang is the owner of Kynisca Sports International, which holds interests in Olympique Lyonnais, the Washington Spirit, and the London City Lionesses. Lise Klaveness, the president of the Norwegian Football Federation, is a former professional footballer who has already engaged in an open power struggle with Infantino.

Klaveness and several Nordic football associations have called for investigations into various issues, including the circumstances surrounding the lifting of a suspension for US player Folarin Balogun and Infantino’s role in failed investment deals. The Norwegian federation has filed formal requests for clarification with FIFA’s ethics and governance committees.
