UEFA reschedules Rennes vs Olympiacos match due to French protests

UEFA has rescheduled the UEFA Europa League League Phase match between Stade Rennais and Olympiacos from Thursday, November 5, to Wednesday, November 4. The decision follows warnings from French authorities that security around the match in Brittany could not be guaranteed on the original date due to potential mass strikes and protests regarding the cost of living in France.

The match is now set to kick off at 16:30 local time on Wednesday to avoid overlap with Champions League fixtures. This scheduling change has drawn criticism from Rennes supporters, who expressed frustration over the midweek afternoon kickoff time, noting it is inconvenient for working fans.
