UEFA sanctions Champions League Fenerbahce Olympique Lyonnais player suspensions

UEFA has issued significant fines and suspensions to Fenerbahce and Olympique Lyonnais following a brawl at the conclusion of their Champions League match on August 26.

Fenerbahce player Matteo Guendouzi has been suspended for four UEFA matches and fined 50,000 euros for insulting spectators and violating codes of conduct. His teammate, Mason Greenwood, received a one-match suspension and a 30,000 euro fine. Additionally, Olympique Lyonnais goalkeeper coach Antonio Ferreira has been suspended for five matches.

Regarding club penalties, Olympique Lyonnais was fined 108,500 euros, while Fenerbahce was ordered to pay 95,000 euros.
