UEFA seeks opposition to Gianni Infantino for FIFA presidency

UEFA is reportedly exploring options to challenge Gianni Infantino for the FIFA presidency ahead of the elections scheduled for March in Rabat, Morocco. The European governing body is seeking an experienced figure capable of uniting opposition to the current president.

Several prominent figures in women's football have been considered as potential candidates. Michele Kang, owner of Olympique Lyonnais, was approached but has declined the possibility. Lise Klaveness, president of the Norwegian Football Federation, has also been mentioned; however, she is not currently considering a run for the presidency despite her federation's previous calls for Infantino's resignation.

As of now, no definitive alternative candidate has emerged to lead the opposition against Infantino.
