UEFA unifies CSKA Sofia profiles and updates historical records

UEFA has updated its official records to consolidate the profiles of the Bulgarian football club CSKA Sofia. The organization has removed the hyphen previously used between the club's name and the city of Sofia in its formal listings.

Previously, UEFA maintained two separate profiles for the club: one covering achievements up to 2016 and another covering the last ten seasons. The new unified profile integrates data from the club's debut in the competition against Zurich in 1977 through to 2026.

Following this consolidation, the statistical records have been updated. Dimitar Berbatov is now recognized as the club's top scorer in the Europa League with seven goals, followed by Velizar Dimitrov with six. The records for most appearances also reflect the unified history, with Todor Yanchev leading with 45 appearances.
