Ufac resumes in-person classes after month-long suspension

The Federal University of Acre (Ufac) has resumed in-person classes in Rio Branco following a suspension that lasted nearly a month. The suspension, which began on July 15, was triggered by a student strike and judicial seizure of public transportation in the capital.

Classes resumed on August 10 after the Central Student Directory (DCE) announced the end of the strike. Additionally, the Municipal Superintendency of Transport and Traffic (RBTrans) confirmed that Rio Branco reached the minimum requirement of 66 buses in circulation, a condition set by the University Council (Consu) for the return to campus.

The university's academic calendar will now undergo reprogramming, a process to be managed by the Nucleus of Academic Registration and Control (Nurca) and subsequently reviewed by the University Council.
