UFASTA Faculty of Medical Sciences celebrates 30th anniversary
The UFASTA Faculty of Medical Sciences is celebrating its 30th anniversary with two commemorative days focused on health promotion and integral care. The events, scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, and Thursday, October 15, will involve students, faculty, graduates, and professionals.
On October 14, a public event titled ‘Healthy Stations – Five Careers, One Community’ will take place at Plaza Mitre from 11:00 to 14:00. This free, participatory session offers health education through various stations organized by the faculty's five core programs:
• Nutrition: Focusing on dietary habits, balanced meals, hydration, and label reading. • Kinesiology and Physiotherapy: Addressing mobility, posture, and reducing sedentary behavior. • Speech Therapy: Covering voice and hearing care, including responsible headphone use. • Medicine: Providing information on preventive controls, blood pressure, and risk factors. • Dentistry: Offering guidance on oral hygiene and brushing techniques.
