UFC 332 faces fan backlash over main event announcement
The UFC is facing fan backlash following the announcement of the UFC 332 fight card, scheduled for October 3 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The criticism centers on the decision to headline the event with a vacant women's flyweight title fight between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong. This change follows news that Valentina Shevchenko suffered a serious injury and was forced to vacate the title.
While some fans have criticized the card for a perceived lack of star power, former UFC Flyweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo has defended the lineup. Speaking to media, Figueiredo expressed frustration with the criticism, stating that the fighters on the card are prepared to deliver high-quality performances and that “what looks weak can become strong.”
In addition to the main event, the card features Deiveson Figueiredo against Payton Talbott at bantamweight, as well as a lightweight bout between Bobby Green and Esteban Ribovics. The event is expected to air on CBS.
