UFC CEO Dana White discusses Chimaev and Garry

UFC CEO Dana White addressed the potential return of Khamzat Chimaev for UFC 333. Following a social media post from Chimaev expressing his desire to fight, White stated that the former middleweight champion remains in conversation for a bout, though no official confirmation has been made.

Chimaev, who lost his middleweight title to Sean Strickland earlier this year, has recently called for a rematch with Strickland. UFC 333 is scheduled for October 24 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.

Separately, former two-division champion Henry Cejudo expressed doubt regarding Ian Garry receiving another title opportunity. Cejudo criticized Garry’s approach following his loss to Islam Makhachev at UFC 330, suggesting that Garry failed to properly promote his fight and misread the promotional values required to secure future championship shots.
