UFC Freedom 250 draws 17 million viewers, eclipsing previous MMA broadcasts

The UFC’s Freedom 250 event, staged at the White House on October 12, was streamed on Paramount+ and attracted about 17 million viewers across the United States and Latin America. The audience matched the peak viewership of Ronda Rousey’s recent Netflix comeback and surpassed earlier UFC streaming numbers. UFC president Dana White described the bout as “the biggest thing we’ve ever done for the sport.”

Boxing promoter‑turned‑MMA promoter Jake Paul highlighted that his own MVP MMA 1 event on Netflix also reached 17 million viewers, posting on X: “As a boxing promoter it feels good waking up today being the biggest MMA promoter.” MVP’s co‑founder Nakisa Bidarian acknowledged the UFC’s success while noting both events achieved comparable audience sizes. The viewership battle underscores the growing mainstream appeal of mixed‑martial‑arts promotions.
