UFC Freedom 250 fighters recount talks with President Trump at White House event
The UFC Freedom 250 event was staged on the White House South Lawn to mark President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday and the upcoming United States 250th anniversary. Seven cage‑match bouts attracted about 4,000 spectators and involved a $60 million UFC investment.
Fighter Bo Nickal said Trump greeted him after his first‑round TKO over Kyle Daukaus, replying “You’re the man, good work.” Sean O’Malley, who knocked out Canadian Aiemann Zahabi, told Trump “Happy birthday, I knocked out a Canadian for you,” to which Trump responded, “You should get the bonus,” though O’Malley was not awarded a bonus.
The event also featured UFC CEO Dana White and members of the Trump family, and a planned attack on the gathering was reportedly thwarted by authorities.
