UFC Freedom 250 White House Event Costs $30 Million, Trump Praises It
TKO Group Holdings reported that the UFC Freedom 250 mixed‑martial‑arts event held on June 14 on the White House South Lawn resulted in a net loss of about USD 30 million. The invite‑only spectacle cost roughly USD 60 million to produce, accommodated 4,300 guests and generated no ticket revenue. Despite the financial shortfall, the card attracted an estimated 34 million viewers worldwide. CFO Andrew Schleimer said the loss materially impacted UFC margins, while CEO Ari Emanuel called the show a “roaring success” for brand exposure. COO Mark Shapiro added that the event generated over USD 1 billion in earned‑media value and secured 25 new marketing partners. President Donald Trump later praised the event as the most successful fight in history, a claim that drew criticism for ignoring the loss. UFC president Dana White confirmed that future White House events are not planned.
