UFC Sacramento fighters show significant weight fluctuations
Data released by the California State Athletic Commission regarding UFC Sacramento reveals significant weight fluctuations among fighters between official weigh-ins and fight night.
Featherweight Marcio Barbosa recorded the most dramatic change, gaining 25.5 pounds to enter the cage at 171 pounds, an 18 percent increase from his weigh-in of 145.5 pounds. This weight gain allowed him to secure a first-round knockout against Ryan Kuse.
Other notable rehydrations included Stan Dorsainvil and Gauge Young, who gained 23.5 and 24.7 pounds respectively. In the main event, Gregory Rodrigues entered the cage at 204.4 pounds after weighing in at 185 pounds, while Anthony Hernandez weighed 202.2 pounds after a 186-pound weigh-in.
While most fighters saw weight increases, Serghei Spivac and Kennedy Nzechukwu were among the few to lose weight, dropping 2.4 pounds each between Friday and Saturday.
