UFD invests over 6 million euros in O Pereiro de Aguiar electrical grid

UFD, the electricity distributor for Naturgy, has allocated more than 6 million euros between 2022 and 2025 to improve and maintain the electrical grid in O Pereiro de Aguiar and its surrounding areas in Ourense, Spain.

The investment is divided into several key areas. Approximately 4.8 million euros were directed toward high-voltage infrastructure, including the complete renovation of the 20 kV substation park in San Cibrao de Viñas and capacity expansions for the San Ciprián-Peares line. An additional 1.2 million euros were invested in medium-voltage networks between 2023 and 2025, involving new lines, transformation centers, and low-voltage network reorganization in areas such as A Derrasa-O Roupeiro, Parada, and San Xoán de Moreiras.

To enhance service reliability and reduce response times, the project includes 27 digitalization and remote control actions on medium-voltage lines. The company also implemented a maintenance plan exceeding 170,000 euros, focusing on vegetation and biomass management near power lines. These improvements were coordinated with the local City Council to ensure supply continuity and meet regulatory quality standards.
