Ufes researchers study special education policies in Argentina

Researchers from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Ufes) and the North University Center of Espírito Santo (Ceunes) conducted a technical-scientific mission in Argentina to study special education policies and teacher training.

Between August 8 and 16, the delegation visited the Provincial University of Córdoba (UPC), as well as various schools and public education agencies. The mission aims to compare Argentine educational realities with Brazilian policies as part of a long-term comparative research project titled ‘Inclusive Special Education Policies and Teacher Training in Different Contexts: possibilities, advances, tensions and challenges.’

The research, which has been ongoing for approximately 15 years, resumed in 2023 following interruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The goal is to identify commonalities and improvements between the different national approaches to special education.
