UFG suspends academic activities for 2026 general elections

The Federal University of Goiás (UFG) has approved a suspension of academic activities to allow students to travel to their electoral districts for the second round of the 2026 general elections.

Following a request from the Central Student Directory (DCE-UFG), the Council of Teaching, Research, Extension, and Culture (Cepec) determined that undergraduate and graduate activities will be suspended on October 23, 2026, across all campuses. Additionally, activities will be suspended on October 23 and 24 at the Goiás, Aparecida de Goiânia, and Cidade Ocidental campuses.

A partial flexibility of activities is scheduled for Monday, October 26. The suspension does not apply to basic education at the Center for Teaching and Research Applied to Education (Cepae), nor to internships or clinical rotations for health courses, which will follow their original schedules. Administrative activities and the semester end date of December 12, 2026, remain unchanged.
