Uganda Airlines expands network with new flights to Accra and Kigali

Uganda Airlines is expanding its flight network with the launch of direct services to Accra, Ghana, and Kigali, Rwanda. These new routes aim to strengthen passenger and cargo connectivity through Entebbe International Airport, supporting business, tourism, and trade across West and East Africa.

The expansion of the cargo network is intended to provide exporters and importers with better access to markets for manufactured goods, fresh produce, and time-sensitive cargo. The Kigali route specifically links two of East Africa’s fastest-growing economies, while the Accra route builds upon the airline’s existing presence in West Africa via Lagos.

In addition to these African routes, Ugandan officials are exploring a potential direct air link between Entebbe and the Maldives. This proposed connection is being discussed as a way to unlock new opportunities in tourism, investment, and the export of Ugandan products such as coffee and fish to wider Asian markets.
