Uganda CAA official probed over alleged witchcraft trips to Kenya, Tanzania
Uganda's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has placed a senior female official under an intelligence investigation after reports that she repeatedly crossed the Mutukula border into Kenya and Tanzania. Sources claim the trips were to powerful shrines where she allegedly sought black‑magic rituals to influence internal power struggles, including targeting Director General Fred Bamwesigye.
The probe also examines accusations of illegal recruitment, payroll irregularities, security breaches at sensitive airport zones, inflated salaries and falsified staff academic records. Colleagues have reported unexplained illnesses, sudden deaths and job losses that coincided with the official’s alleged shrine visits. Intelligence officials say she may be positioning herself to replace Bamwesigye once he leaves office.
