Uganda commissions new classrooms in Kamuli and science kits in Buyende

In Kamuli District, Resident District Commissioner Rose Birungi led a commission of five newly built classroom blocks at Bugulusi, Kisozi, Butegere, Bwiza and Busige Primary Schools, confirming they met construction standards. Two other projects at Nabigongerya and Buwoya Primary Schools were rejected due to poor workmanship, with contractors instructed to rectify defects. The district emphasized a "no corruption" stance and called on parents to support learners.

In Buyende District, Minister for the Presidency Milly Babalanda inaugurated science kits donated by the Ministry of Education and Sports for public schools. She highlighted that the kits will enable practical laboratory instruction, improve performance in science subjects, and prepare students for future careers. Babalanda praised First Lady and Education Minister Janet Kataaha Museveni for her leadership and urged proper management of the equipment.
