Uganda defeats Sierra Leone in Africa Continental Cup

Uganda secured an eight-wicket victory over Sierra Leone in the 2026 Africa Continental Cup held in Rwanda. After Sierra Leone won the toss and elected to bat, the Ugandan bowling attack dismissed them for just 55 runs in 17.4 overs. Gerald Olipa led the attack with three wickets, while Eric Kasaija contributed two.

Uganda reached the target of 56 runs in only seven overs, losing two wickets in the process. The win marks Uganda’s fourth victory in the tournament. During the match, Fahad Mutagana made his T20I debut, becoming the fourth player to earn a cap during this campaign.

Sierra Leone continues to struggle in the competition, sitting at the bottom of the standings following five consecutive defeats.
