Uganda hosts I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series and Watoto Charity Golf Tournament

The third round of the 2026 I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series is set for Saturday, 8 August at Entebbe Club. The event returns to the “Tee For Me” format, a same‑gender pairs competition where teammates alternate shots on every hole. Organisers promise a full field, a hole‑in‑one challenge that could win a Mitsubishi Outlander, and a white‑dress‑code evening hosted by comedian Patrick Idringi Salvador. Sponsors include Johnnie Walker, Victoria Motors, GA Insurance, RwandAir and others.

Meanwhile, the Watoto Golf Tournament, now in its third edition, launched on 3 August at Uganda Golf Club under the theme “Hope on the Green.” The charity event aims to raise UGX 450 million to provide business starter packs for 1,000 vulnerable mothers. Senior Pastor Julius Rwotlonyo of Watoto Church Uganda highlighted the goal of empowering mothers and their families, and the tournament opened with a caddies’ competition involving 59 participants. Both events bring together golfers, corporate partners and the wider community to promote sport and social impact in Uganda.
