Ugandan football clubs prepare for continental matches in Egypt

Ugandan football clubs are preparing for significant continental fixtures in Cairo, Egypt. Kitara FC has arrived in the city ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup return-leg match against Al Ahly SC at Cairo International Stadium. Following a 2-1 defeat in the first leg, Kitara FC requires at least a 1-0 victory to force extra time or a two-goal margin to qualify.

In women’s football, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has provided 30 return air tickets to Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC to facilitate their travel for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 1–15. Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, the reigning Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League champions, will compete in Group B against Morocco’s AS FAR, Mali’s USFAS Bamako, and a representative from the WAFU B zone.
