Ugandan Parliament mourns death of legal counsel Angella Kanyiginya
Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oboth-Oboth has paid tribute to Angella Kanyiginya, a 43-year-old Legal Counsel in the Department of Legal and Compliance, following her death on Saturday at Victoria Hospital in Kampala.
During a funeral service at St. Luke Church in Ntinda, Clerk to Parliament Adolf Mwesige delivered a condolence message from the Speaker. Oboth described Kanyiginya as a hardworking and dedicated public servant. Kanyiginya, who had served in Parliament for one year, passed away due to an autoimmune disease.
The Parliamentary Service Commission has assumed responsibility for all burial expenses and pledged to provide full support to her husband and two children in accordance with the Service’s policies.
