UGL Istruzione leaders visit Matera to discuss education and employment

Ornella Cuzzupi, National Secretary of UGL Istruzione, visited Matera and the surrounding territory alongside provincial secretary Pino Giordano to engage with workers, union representatives, and educational entities.

The visit focused on issues including school safety, building maintenance, precarious employment, teacher valorization, and the quality of services. The representatives emphasized the need to integrate education, training, and employment into a broader regional development strategy to provide opportunities for young people in Basilicata and prevent them from leaving the area.
