UGL union demands action on Italian industrial crises

The UGL union is raising alarms regarding two distinct industrial crises in Italy. The situation involves 140 workers facing redundancy by January, a crisis the union describes as the most serious industrial issue in the territory.

Simultaneously, in Basilicata, UGL representatives are demanding concrete action for ISCOT employees working within the Melfi Stellantis plant. The union is protesting against job uncertainty, reduced activities, and unstable income for contract workers. They have called on regional authorities, including President Vito Bardi, to move beyond announcements and establish a formal regional table involving Stellantis and ISCOT to ensure employment continuity and serious planning for the automotive supply chain.
