UGM Faculty of Pharmacy ranked top in Indonesia by EduRank 2026
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has been ranked as the top pharmacy faculty in Indonesia and placed within the top 500 in Asia according to the EduRank 2026 rankings.
During the 80th anniversary celebrations of the faculty, UGM Rector Ova Emilia noted that while rankings are not the ultimate goal, they serve as a vital indicator for evaluation and recognition of the faculty's processes. She emphasized the need for the faculty to remain adaptive to technological dynamics and the increasing complexity of global pharmaceutical needs.
Strategic priorities moving forward include the integration of modern technology, curriculum transformation, and accelerating independence in drug raw material production through research downstreaming. The faculty also aims to expand international research networks, particularly in the development of traditional and standardized herbal medicines. Dean Satibi highlighted that the 80th anniversary serves as a moment to reflect on eight decades of progress and to strengthen the faculty's contribution to society through adaptive curricula and cross-sector partnerships.
